If you’re thinking about having sex with your partner, but aren’t sure where to keep your vibrator or other sex toys so other people do not accidentally stumble upon them, you’re not alone!
There are lots of options that can help keep your bedroom safe and sound while still allowing you to enjoy the pleasure and intimacy that these toys provide
Keep reading to find out where to hide your sex toys in plain sight so that your children or guests are very unlikely to find them!
Safety First
It is very important to clean your toys after each use after they air dry and you store them in a safe place. When used on different body parts, sex toys can harbor bacterial infections, which can cause genital or urinary tract infections. Furthermore, if you are sharing your toys with a partner it is important that they be cleaned before they go anywhere near someone else’s privates.
We highly recommend using a toy cleaner that is designed to clean away lubes and sanitize away any possible living bacteria on your toy… not just hot water!
Condoms are an excellent way to protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). We highly recommend using the right fit for each toy.
Lubricants are also essential for having safe toy play; silicone-based lubricants should never be used with silicone toys, and oil-based lubricants should never be used with latex condoms.
A Drawer or Toy Box
Clothes over toys in a drawer can make a perfect cover-up. This is especially ideal for butt plugs, dildos, vibrators, and other toys that you don’t want to see all over your room.
You can never go wrong with your classic toy box (especially a wooden one with a lock), but if you are concerned about curious eyes going through it, try hiding them inside individual bags for toys.
They come in a variety of sizes and styles. I personally love the soft black velvet bags that are slightly padded.
Under the Mattress
Keep your favorite vibrator close by because you never know when you might need it. It’s easy for sex toys to get buried deep under the sheets, mattress, pillows, or cushions. If you’re trying not to get caught with your toy, make sure you stash it within arm’s reach.
Having it out on the nightstand or in a dresser drawer is still too risky. You don’t want to have to go searching for your dildo every time you need it—not only can that be distracting from foreplay, but it also takes time away from playtime. Make sure your partner knows where all of your toys are stored so they can help locate them if needed.
Plus, there’s no better way to spice up an evening than by having someone else bring you what you need!
A Wardrobe or Closet
If you are keen on keeping your sex toys in plain sight, a wardrobe or closet offers plenty of storage options. A discreet shoebox is perfect for dildos and vibrators. Be sure that nothing can be seen from outside.
Consider hanging floggers, harnesses, and other items rather than stacking them up on shelves where they might draw attention.
On the Go!
Why keep the fun just in the bedroom? Toys and whips on the go can be so fun! A backpack or purse is another smart storage place for sex toys, especially if it will be traveling with you often; just make sure you keep it well-organized so that you don’t lose anything during travel!
… And don’t forget to pack a travel-sized bottle of lube, toy cleaner wipes, and maybe some rope if that’s your thing! 😉
